The People Behind the Mission

Behind the Iowa Division of the Izaak Walton League are people who give their time,
experience, and passion to help protect the places we all cherish.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce you to members of our Iowa Division
Board—the Iowa Ikes who help guide our work to protect Iowa’s air, water, woods,
wildlife, and soil for future generations.

Each board member brings a unique story, perspective, and connection to conservation.
Some came to the Izaak Walton League through hunting and fishing. Others found their
way through farming, wildlife, water, education, community service, or simply a desire to
leave a healthier world for those who come after us.

Together, they represent the heart of our organization: conservation, stewardship,
education, and community.

Each week, we’ll introduce you to another Iowa Ike and share the story behind their
commitment to conservation.

We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know the people who help shape the Iowa Division—and
who carry forward the Izaak Walton League’s commitment to protecting Iowa’s natural
resources.

Meet our board. Meet the people behind the mission.
