Items to Consider Regarding the IWLA Resolution Process
As you know, the members establish the League’s policies through the resolution process. It is those policies that guide our work at the chapter, division, and national levels. Are there conservation items / concerns you feel the League should have a position on. If so, this is the opportunity to make your thought known.
Helpful Tips for Submitting a Resolution
- Review the current League policies to see if your topic is already covered.
- Provide any needed support documentation with the resolution so the committee is better able to evaluation the resolution.
- If the chapter officer signing the resolution is not the author of the resolution provide the name and contact information (phone and email) for the author of the resolution.
- Your resolution must be a needed policy for the entire League, not just Iowa.
- The use of an excessive amount of legal terminology is not needed. So do not write your resolution in legalese.
